MANDALA WORKSHOP

DISCOVER THE UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES OF CHANGE AND COMMUNICATION

Mandala Workshop

Anyone creating or leading change, getting things done in organisations or communities, or simply living day-to-day life is constantly interacting with different systems – work groups, families, communities and cultures – each with their own purposes, rules, and patterns of communication.

As we continually move in and out of these different situations / systems, we may feel confused or unclear as to how to behave; overwhelmed, trapped or limited by rules and expectations that we do not fully adhere to, or irritated and frustrated that they do not behave as we would like them to behave.

If our role is founder or leader we may question how and in which direction to move things, and how to align our team or organisation purposes with the intentions of the many different stakeholders we relate to every day.

The basic question of how to relate wisely and skilfully to the different groups, situations and people we encounter is key in all roles, all levels and all stages of life. It becomes particularly important if we are trying to act creatively for change in the world, shift old apparently stuck patterns, or connect our action with a deep intention.

This workshop explains how every single situation we encounter – be it physical, social, or psychological, can be understood as a simple set of basic patterns that interconnect, creating the often chaotic and confusing situations we find ourselves in.

Bringing together ideas from Western system & complexity thinking and ancient Indian teachings on Mandala (lit. ‘centre and boundary’) it offers a powerful and unique framework to better see and respond to what is actually going on in complex and challenging situations, personally and at work.

Learning to relate to situations and organisations in terms of ‘Mandala’ adds clarity and possibility to what we are doing, allowing us to relate to people and events with heightened awareness, skill and sensitivity.

Many people today are in search of greater wholeness. Our industrial culture has become unbalanced so we take as real the story of our separate individualities, and miss the simultaneous truth of our inseparability from each other and the wider world.
